Can I automatically forward my Hotmail?

Summary: Unfortunately, you cannot automatically have mail forwarded through your Hotmail email address.

How do I automatically forward my Windows Live Hotmail mail?

How do i forward my HotMail e-mail to a different address that I will then be able to view on my BlackBerry?

It's often handy to automatically forward email received on one account to another, often your Hotmail account, and often to another device.

Unfortunately the news isn't terribly good. But there are some alternatives.

To the best of my knowledge, Hotmail does not support forwarding. It supports a number of options on incoming email, but forwarding does not appear to be on the list.

Same story for Yahoo mail. Though forwarded is touted as a feature in their premium product.

And finally, Google's new entry into the free email space, GMail, recently introduced forwarding, so using a GMail account instead of Hotmail would be one approach to resolving this issue.

One other approach, if your device supports it, is to simply use the web interface for Hotmail (or Yahoo) in your wireless device. I'm not terribly familiar with BackBerry, but I know, for example, that my Treo, which is Palm powered, has a web browser and supports accessing Hotmail and presumably Yahoo Mail.

So, how can I receive/forward my hotmail e-mail messages to my Palm Treo? You write that Treo has a web browser and supports accessing HotMail. What do I need to do?

To forward hotmail to your treo you first set up a gmail account which is downloadable as POP into your Versa Mail software that comes with the Palm OS. The upgrae your free hotmail account to the Premium ($20/year) which then allows you to forward to gmail. Finally you are ready to set up your hotmail account for forwarding to gmail. The process is under "Options" in hotmail.

Now with windows live you can now forward hotmail to another e-mail account. In your hotmail account go to options -> more options and under manage your account you will see a link to setup e-mail forwarding
